Sub-acute Psychiatric Services
Patients who are no longer in the acute phase of their illness but not yet recovered to the point where they could be discharged from the facility are offered further treatment on the subacute wards.
There are three subacute wards at the Bellevue Hospital. Of these, two are male wards with a total bed compliment of 74 and there is one female ward with a bed compliment of 28. We aim to help patients achieve a level of functioning and stability so that they can be reintegrated into their communities.
